Lives and works in Nashville Tn. Born 1980 (Detroit)

Kite Kite is a self-taught visual artist, sculptor, painter, and writer encompassing installation and performance art. Her work is often conceptual contained mostly by an inner-directive narrative, that often explores the impacts and effects of one’s social consciousness and or on the cultural psyche.

Her strengths are communicating through built stage sets, painting in repetitious patterns and documentation through sequential imagery, the emoted state and resolve of an individual’s process. Her work also explores human interaction within relationship and the opposing interfaces of ego-consumerism and intimacy.

Kite’s work is often preoccupied with the image of the domesticated scenario, the literal objects found within the home, and discarded or overlooked materials, to discuss such topics as; one’s displacement and identity, the perception of memory, substance verses effect, and one’s personal evolution.
